Poetry Project
Poetry is often an unappreciated art. Many snub their noses at it because it is unfamiliar to them and seems difficult to create. Quite the contrary, poetry is a beautiful expression of feelings, thoughts and much more. Poetry, for some, can be soothing and relaxing. For many young students poetry is an outlet where they can imagine themselves in surreal scenes loaded with wondrous imagery and sensory details.
This poetry project will present you with the opportunity to establish and explore your own poetic voice. Throughout this project you will learn about various types of poetry and their components. You will learn about end rhyme, internal rhyme, rhyme schemes, meter, rhythm, tempo, theme and more.
